About SHMC

SHMC is not an outlaw (1%) motorcycle club. We are not a surrogate organization for any motorcycle club, riding club, or group. We believe in the principles of respect for all who ride and will extend appropriate courtesies as is customary in the motorcycle club culture to all who we encounter.

SHMC does not require members to ride a specific brand of motorcycle so long as the motorcycle falls into the cruiser or touring categories with an engine displacement of 750 cubic centimeters (cc) or larger, although most of us choose to ride Harley-Davidsons.

SHMC functions, activities, and rides are open to club members, their families, and invited guests. A patched member must sponsor all guests and is responsible for the conduct of the guest while riding and socializing.

SHMC will support charitable causes approved by the leadership. SHMC cannot support every charitable cause without depleting finite resources. It is therefore incumbent on the chapter’s leadership to determine which charitable causes to support and the manner in which the charity is to be supported.

SHMC membership is open to all individuals who are current, former, or retired protectors of life, freedom, justice, and property. This includes but is not limited to law enforcement officers, military personnel, firefighters, paramedics, and emergency medical technicians. Honorable service in the aforementioned activities is the first threshold of scrutiny; the individual must also demonstrate strength of character and must have an impeccable reputation. Together these criteria represent the triad of eligibility for affiliation/membership. Individuals not meeting the above criteria who are like-minded may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
